On December 24, just before 9am the ERFD was dispatched to the Hilton Hotel at 2 Meadowlands Plaza Drive for an activated fire alarm. Arriving units of the ERPD provided an update of heavy smoke on the 3rd floor and began evacuating occupants of the hotel. ERFD units assisted by 2nd alarm mutual aid departments located a fire in the pool area and quickly extinguished it.
