Tonight while the ERFD was standing by at the Borough’s Christmas Tree Lightning the department was dispatched to 147 Hackensack St for multiple calls reporting a smoke condition on the 5th floor. Companies arrived and located a minor cooking fire in a 5th floor apartment which was extinguished prior to the fire department’s arrival.
